How do you bring Arabic closer to a child who doesn't speak it?

Arabic4U is a UAE platform that teaches Arabic to non-native speakers, with questions for different age groups and tools for teachers and students, aimed at primary school pupils. It needed a clear bilingual logo and a character children could relate to along the way.

Character

Faseeh, a falcon with an Arab character

I chose the falcon as a familiar Arab symbol, drawn as a friendly, interactive cartoon for kids: big round eyes, a pointed beak and a warm expression.

  • Arab character
  • A cartoon style that suits the audience
  • Interactive
Logo

A bilingual logo

An English and an Arabic wordmark with the same spirit: full, friendly letterforms standing in balance with Faseeh.
